Biography of Ichiro TSURUTA

Portrait of Ichiro TSURUTA1954 - Japanese painter Ichiro TSURUTA was born in Kumamoto Prefecture.
1972 - Graduated from Amakusa Senior High School.
1976 - Graduated from Tama Art University. Become an illustrator.
1980 - Shifted his style to a form of Japanese traditional art and started painting Bijinga (pictures portraying beautiful women).
1985 - Held a solo exhibition in Tokyo.
1986 - Held a solo exhibition in Tokyo.
1987 - Noevir, cosmetics company of Japan had adopted Tsuruta's painting of imaginary beauties for their campaign for eleven years. Held a solo exhibition in Tokyo.
