Chinami NAKAJIMA Biography
1945 On October 21, Chinami NAKAJIMA was born as the third son of Japanese painter Kiyoshi NAKAJIMA in Obuse, Nagano Prefecture.
1969 He graduated from the Japanese painting department of Tokyo National University of Fine Arts and Music.
1971 He completed his graduate studies at the Tokyo National University of Fine Arts and Music. He was appointed to the "Inyu" of The Japan Art Institute.
1979 He was awarded in the 5th Yamatane Museum of Art Exhibition for excellence.
1983 He got a prize in the 1st Japanese Painting of Nude Woman Exhibition.
1989 He exhibited at the Euro Paria '89 Japan / Contemporary Japanese Painter in Belgium.
1992 He donated 700 artworks to Obuse town, which opened the Obuse Museum / the Nakajima Chinami Gallery.
1994 He was appointed as the assistant professor of Tokyo National University of Fine Arts and Music.
1995 His private exhibition "Nakajima's World" opened in Paris.
2000 He was appointed as the professor of Tokyo National University of Fine Arts and Music.
