Biography of Seiho TAKEUCHI
1967 - Japanese painter Seiho TAKEUCHI was born in Kyoto.
1877 - Became a pupil of Eirin Tsuchida.
1881 - Entered the private painting school of Bairei Kono.
1887 - Graduated from Kyoto Prefectural School of Painting.
1895 - Became a teacher of Kyoto City School of Arts and Crafts.
1999 - Went to Europe, and came to be influenced by Turner and Corot.
1907 - Appointed to the Judge of the Bunten exhibition.
1913 - Appointed to the Court Artist.
1918 - Appointed to an adviser of the Organization of Japanese-type Paintings Creation.
1919 - Appointed to a member of the Imperial Academy of Fine Arts (now The Japan Art Academy).
1924 - Awarded the Legion d'Honneur of France.
1937 - Given the 1st Order of Culture with
Taikan YOKOYAMA.
1942 - Seiho TAKEUCHI passed away at the age of 78.
