Toshio TABUCHI Biography

1941 Japanese painter Toshio TABUCHI was born in Tokyo, Japan.
1965 B.A. in Japanese Painting, Tokyo National University of Fine Arts and Music (Current name Tokyo University of the Arts).
1967 Master's degree in Japanese Painting, Tokyo National University of Fine Arts and Music (Current name, Tokyo University of the Arts) Graduation work, ‘Water' was purchased by the University.
1970 Ikuo HIRAYAMA became the mentor. Became Assistant, Faculty of Art, Japanese Painting, Aichi University of the Arts.
1974 Became Lecturer, Faculty of Art, Japanese Painting, Aichi University of the Arts.
1984 Became Assistant Professor, Faculty of Art, Japanese Painting, Aichi University of the Arts.
1985 Became Assistant Professor, Conservation, Graduate School, Tokyo National University of Fine Arts and Music (Current name, Tokyo University of the Arts).
1985 Became Donin of the Japan Art Institute.
1995 Became Professor, Graduate School of Fine Arts, Tokyo National University of Fine Arts and Music (Current name, Tokyo University of the Arts).
1996 Became Councilor, Japan Art Institute.
2005 Became Vice President, Tokyo National University of Fine Arts and Music (Current name, Tokyo University of the Arts).
2006 Became a member of the board of directors, Japan Art Institute.
2009 Retired, Tokyo University of the Arts. Emeritus Professor, Tokyo University of the Arts.
2011 Became Representative Director, Japan Art Institute.
