Biography of Yuji TEZUKA

1953 - Japanese painter Yuji TEZUKA was born in Kanagawa Prefecture.
1976 - Entered the Department of Japanese-style painting of the Tokyo University of Arts.
1979 - Awarded his first prize at the 64th Inten Exhibition.
1980 - Graduated from the Department of Japanese-style painting of the Tokyo University of Arts.
1982 - Completed a master's course of a graduate school of the Tokyo University of Arts.
1983 - Became the "Inyu" of the Japan Art Institute.
1986 - Received the Encouragement Prize at the 71st Inten Exhibition.
1987 - Received the Encouragement Prize at the 42nd Inten Spring Exhibition.
1989 - Won the Japan Art Institute Award at the 74th Inten Exhibition.
1992 - Became the "Dojin" of the Japan Art Institute.
1993 - Exhibited at the 78th Inten Exhibition, and his work "Setting Sun" was purchased by the Agency of Cultural Affairs.
1997 - Received the Minister of Education Award for Fine Arts at the 82nd Inten Exhibition.
Currently, the Dojin and the Executive Director of the Japan Art Institute. Professor of Tokyo University of the Arts.
