Maiginu, Dance garment
An unlined thin robe resembling the choken, differing from the latter in that its right and left sides are sewn together from the armpits down to the lower end, and that it lacks the floral knots of strings on the breast and sleeves. It is a garment peculiar to Noh costume. It is used like the choken as an outer coat for the role of a dancing lady; unlike the choken, however, it is not just slipped over the shoulders but is fastened with a belt at the waist.
