Silkscreen
A kind of printing and a stencil. It is a method of creating the forms by covering a silk-screen partly with wax or lacquer, painting the rest with colored inks or dyes and forcing the colors through it. It is possible to create complex forms by using several different screens. It is also inexpensive. It started in about 1900 in the United States and became popular in the 1930s.
